Day 1 –  SETTING UP

1. Print out the Start Up Checklist / Password Record

Please find attachment at the bottom of the page.
Complete, ensuring your record your LifePath and Home Business Builders Login details.
File in a safe place.

2. Bookmark/Save as a favorite on your web browser the following pages:

NB: Be mindful of the time zone change, access a time zone converter www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html . When registering for calls, Go-to-Webinar allows you to nominate your time zone on the registration page)

www.LifePathPresentsAustralia.com (This is where you access the links for AUSTRALIAN training and business presentations. NB: Time zones are EST (Sydney).

www.RadioLifepath.com This site keeps archived LifePath Unlimited calls. A great site to show your potential business partners, and also to go and listen to in order to extend your LPU knowledge.

www.LifePathUnlimited.com This is LPU’s corporate site where you log in to your back office. This site holds all of your official LPU manuals under the Member LPU Library.

http://blog.lifepathunlimited.com LifePath Unlimited members share their personal stories.

www.AboutLifePath.com This page is another important LPU site laying out all the basics of LPU for your potential business partners.

www.LifePathLive.com This site has videos from LPU events.

www.LPUPhotgraphy.com This site has all of the event photos by the LPU photographer. You may purchase photos from this site.

www.lpubusinessplan.com This site is another of the corporate LPU sites. It is protected by passwords, so be sure to write these passwords down as we work through this orientation.

3. Watch LPU Back Office Orientation video.

4. Print out or save the LPU Getting Started Manual and Compliance Guide by following the instructions below (this is how you access all of your LPU documents).

• Log into your LPU back office by going to www.lifepathunlimited.com and clicking on the Login tab at the top right hand corner of the page, using your email address and password you chose when you became a LPU member
• Find the menu on the left and click on LPU Member Library. This will open another menu, find and click on Download LPY Documents
• Find and click on Members Compliance Guide and LPU Getting Started Manual, print or save.

5. Read your LPU Compliance Manual and Getting Started Manual. These manuals, are the ‘bible’ for your business, therefore they are very important to have handy. It would be advisable to create a folder either on your computer or in a physical format to keep these documents handy and ready to access if you require them.

6. Discovery Series. If you haven’t yet purchased the Discovery Series, follow the ordering process below:
• Go to www.lifepathunlimited.com click on the login tab, login using email and password signed up with.
• Once logged in, click on the Products tab and from drop down window select Discovery (and/or Breakthrough/Destiny).
• Once on the Discovery page, click on Purchase Now which takes you through to the shopping cart.
• Check that order is correct, and then check out.
• Notify your mentor that you have placed the order, who will then forward you payment details.

7. Download Skype (www.skype.com). It’s free, and will really help you to stay in touch with other members, as well as make cheap calls.  While you’re at it, add me (Matt Lloyd) to your contacts- my Skype ID is homebusinessbuilders.com.au.  That way if you get stuck at any time, I’ll be able to help you out- I’m online most of the day.

You’ll also need a good headset- you can pick one of these up from any computer or electronics store for around 40 bucks, although I suggest you get a good one for closer to 80 if you can afford it.  Since you’ll be using it a lot, it’s important that it’s comfortable and has good audio quality.

For a monthly fee of around AU$14.95, you’ll get unlimited calls to landline numbers in over 36 countries.  But it’s 100% free to call other Skype users, regardless of where they are.

8. Register for an Australian Business Number. This is a free process. To register an ABN online, go to: http://abr.gov.au/ABR_BC/. An ABN generally takes a week to process.  To register a .com.au domain name in Australia you will need an ABN number.  But you don’t need one to get a .com domain.

9. Domain Name. Start to brainstorm different domain names.  If you want some feedback or ideas, either contact your mentor or visit our Forums.

To see what names are still available and which one’s have been taken, just go to www.crazydomains.com.au, and use the Domain Search tool.

Tip:  When it does come time for you to purchase your domain name, you will likely be led through a sales process where they’ll try and upsell you on buying other offers.  Just ignore them all- you only need the bare basics for what we’re doing.

11. Start listening in to the “International Live Presentation Webinar”. Access the next call  in the “Training Calls” section.  These will really help you to learn and understand how your new business operates.  I also recommend you introduce yourself on the call, and get involved.

12. Start Day 2 the “Fresh Start” way. Visit the “Training Calls” section on the home page, and register for the Monday Fresh Start call (remember to select your time zone when registering.)
